October 7, 2019, Monday

We introduced the letter T today!  T for welcoming back Miss Terri!  T for teeth, we will be exploring teeth this week, and we will be making teeth for our bony bodies.

Our morning workshop tables were bingo markers, foamy bones and farmyard.  At morning meeting we welcomed a new friend.  What a fun way to start our new week, making a new friend!  We sang our Halloween Ball songs.

Snack was grapes, cheese sticks, and popcorn.  After snack we had book look and a special felt board story, THERE WAS AN OLD LADY WHO SWALLOWED A LEAF.  Everyone got a turn to add something to the Old Lady's mouth!  That was a giggler.  Center time followed where we worked in our HWT workbooks for the letter T.

We had outdoor recess.  Breezy, but a perfect fall day to spend outdoors.  We decided to return right after lunch for outdoor time because we are trusting the weather report for the rest of the week that predicts rain.  If this is a misty rain, we will be sure to get outdoors even for a short walk, so please send in those rainboots and coats for such an occasion.

After lunch we listened to a story on CD, SPOOKLEY THE SQUARE PUMPKIN.  This was a fun introduction to our new shape for the month, the Square.  After our story, we headed outside where some friends worked on making a bat headband for our special Halloween performance at Pumpkins on Parade.  It was a challenge in the breeze to cut and hold on to the paper for sure!  There is where we ended our day.
