EDS Parent Committee (P.C.)
Emmanuel Day School Parent Committee serves to bring families
together with the teaching team to
1.
Meet other families, share their experiences at
EDS and provide feedback on the program.
2.
Organize and implement school events and field
trips.
The Committee serves as a forum for parents to share ideas,
plan and give feedback regarding the events and enrichment activities for our
students and their families. The board cannot change or write school policy
that is set by the Vestry of Emmanuel Church.
The Parent Committee duties include:
1. Fostering positive relationships and a strong sense of
community at EDS with constant communication.
2. Scheduling, planning and implementing school events and
field trips
- Scheduling volunteers, creating donation sign-ups, cooking,
set-up and clean-up
A Parent Committee Chair will be appointed by the School
Committee each year and serve a term of one school year. The Committee Chair
will lead each meeting and draft the agenda and minutes to share with parents.
The Chair also serves as a parent representative on the Emmanuel Day School
Committee that meets monthly.

All families are invited to participate in a monthly Parent
Events Committee meetings.
Fall 2019 Meeting Schedule Meetings are held the
second Wednesday of each month at 9 am.
September 11th, October 9th, November 13th,
December 11th
Agendas and minutes will be emailed to all families.
We ask that each parent volunteer at an event at least once
during the EDS school year. Thank you!
Fall 2019 Events
Volunteer
assignments will be distributed in September. We will assign families to help
with set up, kitchen duty or clean up. The events that families will help with
are starred.
