September 20, 2019, Friday

Today was outdoor Friday!  It was much too beautiful of a day to spend in doors for sure.  In the morning we painted our skeleton bones, and superhero skies.  Our morning workshops were water marbles and beading.

At morning meeting our friends have been leading our tweet and greet.  One friend is chosen to pass out the tweety birds to their friends.  This is a great way to encourage  our friends to become familiar with everyone!  We danced to Dem Bones and talked about our upcoming events.  The children are excited for apple picking and our family picnic coming up soon!

Our snack was grapes and blueberries, pretzels and crackers.  After snack, we met at the reading rug to dance to our pizza story, I AM A PIZZA by Johnny the K.  This is a Friday tradition in honor of pizza day.  We then told the story of the 3 Little Pigs with a puppets.  After the story, we met in our groups to talk about the number 3 and do some ink stamping of 3 little pigs. We were ready to head out into the sunshine after our table work to enjoy the rest of our afternoon.

We had a delightful pizza picnic lunch .  After lunch we tended to the school garden.  Our flowers were thirsty after these very warm days with no rain.  So everyone helped to water the garden.  If their shirts are a bit damp , it is because that crazy garden hose goes a bit wild some times and mists the children.  This causes waves of  giggles and squealing and running about!   The watering cans also made mud puddles for play.    We love mud play at EDS!
