Cheep, cheep, cheep! Cheepers the time is flying by! Our EDS graduates are working on their body paintings already. Please send in those white T-shirts soon, so we can begin painting them for our grad ceremony.
This morning the children met with Mother Anita for Godly Play. They listened to the story of World Communion and the Good Shepard. The children paraded into the Sanctuary with Mother Anita to find some of the story symbols in the church. Everyone loves a great game of eye spy! It is always very exciting when we can go into the church. We never tire of its beauty.
Snack today was bananas, oranges, and animal crackers. We went outdoors for recess today.
After lunch Miss Abby from the Newport Preservation Society came for a visit. Last week we planted bean and pea seeds. They have already started to sprout. Our friends have the choice of taking their plant home or planting it in the school garden. Today we decorated paper window frames and put sunflower seeds in them with wet cotton balls to simulate dirt. The children can watch the root systems grow right before their eyes. We may experiment hanging some in doors on the window and some outdoors to see which ones grow faster.
