We celebrated a friend's 5th birthday today. We made him a giant birthday card. He shared some delicious brownies with us after lunch. A nice celebration on a fun Friday!
We finished our Chick Journals by completing a sequencing page and a drawing about Casey Farm. Some of our friends worked in their HWT journals on their Letter Y page. We are working on finishing up our student portfolios.
We went outdoors for recess. It began to rain, so we finished up playing inside before the pizza arrived.
Our snack today was celery with peanut butter and bananas.
We read the story TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME and sang the song. We talked about the shape of the base ball field as DIAMOND is our shape of the month. We also learned a new poem about a caterpillar to the tune of ITSY BITSY SPIDER. Perhaps your child can remember it and sing it for you. It begins, "The fuzzy, fuzzy caterpiller crawled up on a leaf."
It was a fun Friday and a fun week. The teachers wish to thank you all for the delightful expressions of appreciation with the coffee bar, the treats and flowers! WOW! All very, very, kind.
