April 29, 2019, Monday, HATCH DAY!

HAPPY HATCH DAY!

We currently have 3 chicks pecking their way out of their shell.  The teachers were lucky to see and video, the first little chick hatching out of its shell at the end of the day!  You can hopefully watch the video on our Facebook Parent Page soon.  We also have a butterfly table set up with caterpillars.  After seven days, we should see them hanging from the top of their container in their chrysalis.  We also have pea and bean plants growing on a shelf in the sun in our math room.  Spring is always such an exciting time at EDS!

Mother Anita had Godly Play today.  She talked to the children about World Communion and The Good Shepard.  The children walked with her to the Sanctuary to look the the statue of the Good Shepard.

Snack today was veggies sticks, peppers, and cheese sticks.  After snack, we went outdoors to enjoy the sunshine.  We spent some extra time outside today as there was so much to see and do in our play yard.

After lunch we met for a story WHAT IS A DINOSAUR.  We talked about our prehistoric village set up with a pretend volcano and dinosaurs and a dinosaur nest with dinosaur eggs.   We studied the letter V today.  V for volcano!  We also finished up our countdown calendar in our chick journals because today was hatch day.

We ended our day outside in the fresh air. Please check backpacks for the May calendar.  Attached to it are all of the information forms for our upcoming events!  Time is passing so quickly!

A note from Miss Carissa-
There is A LOT of information in your May packets so please be sure to read through and mark your calendar for all of the upcoming events! Please complete and return all field trip permission forms asap. Just a note for the children walking to the Elms, that is Thursday, May 16th not the 14th as marked on the calendar. Thank you!
