February 27, 2019, Wednesday

We had a messy morning today.  Our morning workshops were all about textures today.  We had a salt tray for etching, a shaving cream sensory bin for color mixing with our hands and paint brushes, and play dough for shaping.  We also had out our erasable name plates for practicing writing our name.

At morning meeting, our question of the day was "Is it sunny outside?"  We talked about what is coming up in our month of March and then we danced to the Dinosaur March by request.  Our snack was broccoli with ranch dressing and pretzels.

We read a factual story about Lions. We have been doing a lot of talking about Lions and Lambs this week.  After a great discussion about lions, we broke into different groups and made a lion head with a mane painted with a fork.

We had outdoor recess today.  We were able to stay outside a bit longer today as the winds have calmed down.

After lunch, we read the story The Dot and began a collaborative art project piece.  We ended our day by reading and singing Knick Knack Paddy Whack.

Today we are thrilled to be featured on the State of Rhode Island BrightStars blog! Check out the article here!  Special Delivery at EDS
