We had a busy block room today! As we look through our photos and reflect on our day, it is always deemed a success when we see 7 or more children cooperatively building a long, long "ramp" is what I believed they called it. Just imagine, no one is knocking it down, they are all busy thinking about what they want to add to it next, and all are accepting of what is added. We say, "WOW, great team work!"
Our morning workshop tables were bingo dotting, magnetic dress up dolls, drawing and water marbles. Exploration of our balancing act continued in the science room.
Our snack today was graham crackers, cheese sticks and oranges and apples. With pizza, we had fresh broccoli and yogurt cups.
We went outdoors for a run about today. We were a bit unsure what the skies were going to do. It was very dark and gray like it was going to rain, and then the sun would burst out. All seemed happy to run and chase and play in the sand.
Our teacher centers today were creating family portraits with oil pastels. These will be featured in our upcoming art show in April. Some friends worked on push pull collages for our Science Room bulletin board. We ended our day with some stories on the rug, I WENT WALKING and A BED FOR THE WINTER, pictured below.
Enjoy your Monday and Tuesday off! See you Wednesday!
