All aboard the Polar Express! It may be 60 degrees outside, but inside, we are snowy, frosty and sometimes frozen...especially during the Freeze Dance.
Our morning workshop tables were snowy wonderland sensory table, Christmas card making, Stocking Painting, and Reindeer Food making station. Santa won't have to share his cookie if the Reindeer have a delicious treat. They are sure to see the sparkles from the sky!
Snack today was pretzel popcorn mix and juicy oranges. After snack, we put on our costumes and practiced the Christmas Pageant in the church Sanctuary today. It is always exciting when we go into the Sanctuary, which one friend referred to as the place with all the chairs. Of course we turned that into a teachable moment, and we learned a new vocabulary word, pew. The children are really enjoying practice, and we are impressed at how fast they have picked up the rhythm of the show.
We enjoyed a lot of fresh air in the beautiful sunshine.
After lunch we continued work on our projects, had free choice play and headed back outside to end our day.
