December 13, 2018, Thursday

Our little sugar plums were dancing about today at EDS.  We had a special visitor after lunch today that is a professional ballerina.  She read the story of The Nutcracker and another story pictured below about a child that dreamed of being a dancer.  She talked about how ballerinas get ready to dance in a ballet and showed them some dance moves.  Thank you, Miss Tara, for that very special time we had with you today!

Today was Godly Play with Mother Anita.  The children talked about Advent and the Christmas story.  Christmas is getting closer and the children get to see this during the Advent wreath presentation.  After Godly Play we shared a snack of popcorn and cracker trail mix.

We went outdoors for recess today, another nice sunny day to play outside.

In preparation for Miss Tara's visit, we also did some freeze dancing and listen move music.  It was an action packed day.  Everyone should sleep well tonight.

Our morning workshop tables were creating a paper snowflake and practicing our number 1 to 6 on the snowflake points, foam sticker collages and winter wonderland sensory table.
