November 2, 2018, Friday

We are thankful for this blustery wind today that will bring down some leaves play in outdoors!  We also need leaves for our natural creations inside.  The children are making their place mats for the EDS Thanksgiving Feast that is fast approaching!

Our morning workshop tables were Blue ocean sand table, tangrams, and native american necklace beading.

Miss Terri shared a very funny story, THE WONKY DONKEY, by Craig Smith, at morning meeting.  The children laughed and laughed and laughed.  What fun we had on this rainy morning listening to this story.  We highly recommend reading this together if you are in need of a belly laugh.  It is also  wonderful rhyming practice...shhh, do not tell them there is a lesson in there.

We attempted outdoor recess for a walk in the rain, but the sky opened up, so we retreated back in doors for recess in the library where we played games and put together puzzles and necklaces.  The farm was a hit today too.

After lunch we read a story I Am A Pizza that was put to music by Johnny The K, so it was a musical story.

We ended our day painting turkeys and painting our Mayflower replica.
