Our morning workshop tables were monster teeth counting mats, Halloween story town, and stamping.
Mother Anita held Godly Play this morning. She read the story SWIMMY and reviewed the church calendar and special church events from stories in the Bible with the children.
Our snack was fresh berries and grapes and wheat pretzel sticks.
We went outdoors to play in the blustery wind. It felt like Fall for sure today.
After lunch we shared our pumpkin stories. The children narrated stories to the teachers that were either spooky or silly. We graphed the choices. It was a fun time of sharing each other's ideas, lots of claps and giggles. We also carved our school pumpkin for the party tomorrow night. We chose some special shapes that go along with a Pumpkin Prayer. Tomorrow we will carve a spooky face pumpkin because that is the largest bar on our graph.
We ended our day outside, munching on more roasted pumpkin seeds!
Harvest Fair Update
A BIG thank you to all who dedicated their time to making this such a wonderful fundraiser. I am happy to report that even though it was a slow day our table made $119. A special thank you to Jamie for set-up, Deanna for creating the board and working the table, Marlena for working the table and for Dawn who was our super star and ran the table for multiple hours and then cleaned up. Also a BIG shout out thank you to Miss Kate who oversaw the reconstruction of our school on Saturday evening. Teamwork makes the dream work!
Next PAB meeting is Monday November 5th at 1pm. Hope to see you there.
