We began our day talking about the new arrival of our 15 chicken eggs in the incubator. We met Chelsea chicken who lays a special egg each day at circle time, We can open up this special egg and see a picture of what is happening inside the eggs in our incubator! Amazing! This chicken is not to be confused with the "Magic Chicken," as they are two different chickens for sure. The Magic Chicken lays jellybean eggs in a nest that we can eat on special occasions. It was a Fun Friday indeed, we met another new teacher, Ms. Lauryn. She will be joining us every Friday until the end of the year. We are so happy to have her at EDS! We celebrated another friend's birthday today. She brought a juice popsicle treat to share. We began our Egg Science Journals by first writing our name on it and decorating the cover and then completing a page that tells what we know for sure about eggs. We also made fun chicken comb hats so we can look like chickens. We danced to the song "I Know a Chicken" Our snack was turkey cheese roll ups and applesauce. We went outdoors for recess before it rained!
