9 March 2020, Monday

W for water color mixing this morning.  We made large water color circles by dropping the paint onto extra large coffee filters.  This is a wonderful fine motor exercise with use of droppers to dispense the paint as well as a science lesson in the witness of what happens when the colors mix together.  The Wonder of it all...our letter is W this week.

At morning meeting we had our tweet and greet, introduced the letter W, and completed our Lion Lamb weather graph.  We danced to our phonics song listening carefully for the W.

Snack was fresh strawberries, pretzels and hummus.  After snack, we read the story, It Looked Like Spilt Milk by Charles Shaw.  Center time was spent working in our HWT workbooks.  Some children worked on an art project with Miss Carissa making Andy Warhol pictures.

We had outdoor recess with bikes, the slide, teeter totter, the sandbox was open.  Hoppers and bouncey balls were available, and chalk with an easel for drawing.

After lunch we worked on our art show projects.  We ended our day outside on this glorious spring like day.  Just a reminder that tomorrow is Show and Share for the letter W.
