Executive Functioning
Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards:
Emmanuel Day School follows the Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards. The Early learning standards articulate shared expectations for what
young children should know and be able to do. Further, they provide a
common language for measuring progress toward achieving specific
learning goals. The standards outline early learning expectations at key benchmarks, from birth to 60 months of age.
Family Fun Activity Cards
Fun Family Activities
cards give parents information and enjoyable ways to support the
development and learning of young children. The activities are
based on Rhode Island’s Early Learning and Development Standards. They
are meant to help your child develop skills that are important for
future learning.
Newport Public School Child Outreach:
Every January, Emmanuel Day School hosts Newport Child Outreach screenings. This is a critical screening that ensures children are meeting age-specific developmental milestones. This is a wonderful service that is free to all families. Parents can request earlier screenings or get more information about outreach screenings by visiting their website at the link above.
