At morning meeting we had our tweet and greet. We introduced the letter O and talked about words that begin with that letter (like /o/ffice!). We learned a new Valentine love poem and sang two new songs. We had a fun dance circle while friends passed around our circle time love goggles which are a silly giant pair of heart shaped glasses.
Snack was pretzel animal cracker mix, cheese sticks and apples. After snack we read the story The Paper Bag Princess. A wonderful fairy tale about a princess that rescues a prince from a firey dragon. We then broke into our groups to work on our Letter O page in our HWT workbooks.
We went outdoors for recess today and rode bikes, bounced on bouncy balls, played Frisbee and ball, and teeter totter.
After lunch we came together to talk about biomes. Our pond biome will be going away soon and another biome will take its place. We played a sorting game where all of the children were given an animal picture. Two biomes were put down on the floor and each friend took a turn to decide whether their animal liked to live in the pond or on the land.
