The 3 Bears have moved out! Whew! Oh no! Now there is a Giant in our house. This week, we are having fun with the story Jack and The Beanstalk. This story fits into all the fairy tale characteristics with its imaginary giants, a talking harp, a hen that lays golden eggs and magic beans in a magic kingdom in the sky.
Our morning workshop tables were play dough, mini puzzles, and a table to make the number 7 page for our math book in our portfolios.
At morning meeting, we welcomed a new friend at our tweet and greet. What a great way to start our week off! We went over our schedule of the day before going down to our delicious snack of yogurt, granola and fresh blueberries and crunchy veggie straws.
After snack we listened to the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. We had a good discussion about giants and how they make the story very exciting and a little scary, but we know they are not real. That is what makes fairy tales so much fun, we get to use our great imaginations.
We went outdoors for recess today. We could feel that warm weather fading away. It was nice while we had it. The bikes were out and the sand box was open for play. We had bouncy balls available and frisbees.
We ended our day with a few rounds of 5 Green Speckled Frogs! Everyone got a turn to jump into the pool where it was nice and cool! Glub, Glub!
