December 16, 2019, Monday

Our TREE-mendous decorations created by our little elves are being packed for home over the next few days.  It will begin to look like the Grinch hit the classroom!  The good new is, you will have them to decorate your house.

Our morning workshop tables included beading and painting.  Some friends worked on special holiday greeting cards for our wonderful school helpers. Our snack today was popcorn, carrots and choice of apple or orange.

After snack we practiced our Christmas story in the Sanctuary.  We have been using the microphone, which has been very exciting.  Only three more days until show day!  After practice, we went outdoors.  It was a very cold day today, so we stayed outdoors for just 30 minutes and then came in for free play in the classroom.  We held a puppet show for the story of the Three Bears' Christmas.

After lunch we worked on our bony bodies, adding lungs and a heart and arteries.  We learned that our lungs expand and contract when we breath air and that our hearts are as big as our fists.  We also talked about how our hearts pump blood through our whole body.

We ended our day with a fun new gross motor activity in the library.  We practiced our balance walking along colorful stepping stones.
