The Permanent Closure of Emmanuel Day School & Our Future Together

Dear Friends,

It is with great pain and sadness that I must report the permanent closure of Emmanuel Day School.

After a grueling year of change and challenge, that included a pause in our program, Emmanuel Church has decided to permanently end their mission of Emmanuel Day School.

Emmanuel Church is moving forward to rent our space to a local business, thus closing the door on any future preschool collaborations.

The teachers and I are devastated by this sudden and unexpected decision. It has been a pleasure to open our arms and hearts to your children each day.

We truly treasure the lifelong friendships we created together at EDS. Our spirit will live on in our community with continued friendships and partnerships!

Emmanuel Day School was established in 2006 and has served hundreds of children and families across the Island and beyond. The magical castle like space was a fantastic setting to spark the imagination of our young children and instill a passionate foundation for discovery.

Thank you to our our dedicated teaching team Kate Frantz, Terri Traeger and Sarah Evans, along with our substitutes Pam Kilroy and Nancy Coll, who together brought creativity, wonder and joy to our children and families each day.

With this sudden news, I am dreaming and scheming of a future where we can learn and play together again in a new location. Please contact me if your interested in joining me or know a good spot!

In the meantime, I hope we can stay connected as a community. I will continue to post some updates on this blog and encourage you to keep in touch!

Please keep the spirit of our School alive with your children each day; play, sing, tell stories, be silly and enjoy the enchantment of childhood!

Wishing you all a very merry holiday season!

Faithfully yours,

Miss Carissa
