October 28, 2019, Monday

T'was the morning before the Halloween Ball, when all through the school, not a creature was stirring not even a ghoul!  We are all excited to come together tomorrow evening for some Halloween fun.

This morning our workshop tables were Halloween patterning strips, rubber band fishing in the water table, and drawing.  At morning meeting we shared stories about our weekend and who we are bringing to the Halloween Ball.  We practiced our songs, we are ready to sing tomorrow night!

Our snack today was goldfish crackers, cheese sticks, and grapes.  After snack we listened to the story of Halloween Mice.  We also had story theater for Room On The Broom.  A fun story about a witch that is happy to share.  Story theater takes some time, so we went right to the great outdoors rather than holding centers today.

Out doors we had some friends building a worm hotel out of giant leaves.  What a beautiful shelter they built for the worm they found!

After lunch we worked on finishing our pumpkin life cycle papers.  We also narrated fun stories to go with our jack-o-lantern paintings.   We ended our day outside on the playground.
