Apple-alooza continues! We used our fresh picked apples from the orchard trip yesterday for many activities today.
At morning workshop we cut paper apples and drew seeds on them, we worked on adding brains to our bones, and had apple stamping with fresh apples. At morning meeting we talked about our changing month and what fun activities we have to look forward to in October! We danced to Dem Bones and our alphabet song.
Snack was vanilla yogurt, nectarines, and cucumbers. After snack we met on the story rug for a 3 Pigs puppet show. We had two rounds of this fun story! It is always a big hit filled with giggles and wolfie growls. We broke into our groups and had a fun time with our apples that we picked yesterday. We talked about the different sizes Big, Medium and Small. Everyone picked an apple from the bag, and we set about putting them in order by size. This can be tricky because apples are a bit lop sided, but we all did an amazing job of ordering!
We had outdoor recess today. Tricycles, seesaw and hoppers, lawn mowers, balls and sandbox was out for play.
After lunch we enjoyed a dessert of caramel dipped apple slices! We got to use a long pointed stick with an apple on the end of it to dip in the special apple shaped caramel pot! What fun. We then did apple paint stamping of red, yellow and green with real apples.
We ended our day outside on the playground.
