September 13, 2019, Friday

Fun Friday the 13th with a full harvest moon!  Our morning workshop tables were journals, puzzles, floam, and foamy soap in the water table.  We added some Lego building into our Superhero Headquarters.  At morning meeting we had our Tweet and Greet, Hickory Dickory Dock Clock and danced to the Goldfish song by Laurie Berkner.  If you click the music link to the right, you can find a lot of our dance music there for your listening pleasure.

Our snack was carrots and hummus and popcorn.  After snack we read the I AM A PIZZA book to music in honor of pizza Friday and we read Incredible You.  During group time the children practiced writing their names and participated in an interview.  The interview is a list of fun questions to help us get to know our friends.  We complete one at the beginning of the year and the same one at the end of the year to see how our answers change over time.  It will be in their school portfolio.

It was another beautiful day to be outdoors!  We enjoyed bike riding, sandbox play, and chalk.

After lunch we worked on our Superhero capes for our Superhero ABC story.  The children are painting their letter on the back of their cape.  After the family picnic, they will be able to wear their cape home.  They may keep it at school for dress up, too, if they wish.  They have all been enjoying wearing them during the school day.

THANK YOU to all who have stocked us up on supplies this year! We got another awesome batch today! It is so helpful and thoughtful, we appreciate the support!
