Happy First Day of Spring! We had a nice sunny day to welcome the new season. Much of our morning was spent building our new color laboratory for the Science Room. We have been experimenting with color a lot over the last few weeks. We made color sensory bottles at morning workshop. The Jumping Monkeys game was back at morning workshop, too, for letter J week. That is a game of skill to catapult monkeys onto a tree. Catapults are a great way to practice Force and Motion!
At morning meeting we talked about spring and what plans we have coming up. Our question of the day was, "Are You Hungry?" That was a great lead in to our snack today which was pretzels, grapes and carrots. After snack we danced some of our wiggles out to The Color Song.
We went outdoors for fresh air and sunshine today.
After lunch, we read THE LION AND THE LITTLE RED BIRD to our friends that did not hear it yesterday, and THIS OLD MAN, and LOOK, LOOK, LOOK to our friends that did not want to listen to the story again. During our art work groups, we worked on Monet paintings, process art rainbow reflection water colors and nature names.
