December 17, 2018, Monday

Today we celebrated a friend's birthday, we all made a giant birthday card for her and she brought some fun holiday sugar cookies to share with us after lunch.  Our morning workshop tables were Counting Christmas trees, alphabet letter bubbles in the water table, winter wonderland sensory table and the Christmas Story table.

We had Godly Play with Mother Anita this morning. She reviewed the church calendar with the children and continued the story of Advent and Christmas.

Snack was pretzels and carrots today.  After snack we went went outdoors  to play.  We had some sunshine early on, later in the day when we ventured out, we were not so fortunate.

We read a fun story titled WHO WILL GUIDE MY SLEIGH TONIGHT?  It is a fun tale about Santa trying to decide what animal was best to pull his sleigh.  It is sure to bring giggles every time.  After the story, we tried to imagine some other animals that were not in the story that might have done a good job.  In the end, we were all confident that Santa made the perfect choice.

After lunch we enjoyed some puzzle time and science room play before we prepared for dress rehearsal. We practiced our Christmas story in the sanctuary today.  A reminder that all class rehearsal is planned for Wednesday, December 19, at 1:00 pm.  Our Christmas Pageant will be on December 20, at 5 pm.  The children should arrive at 4:45 to get their costume on please.  We are all very excited to be all together again for a holiday celebration.
