December 10, 2018, Monday

Our morning workshop tables were work benches for our little toy maker elves.  Toys need a lot of nuts and bolts and hammering and painting!  What fun to use our imaginations to pretend we are making toys for Santa.  We also had a card making table to make holiday cards for those who help us here at EDS.  We love to spread Christmas cheer.

Mother Anita held Godly Play this morning.  She read the story book, THE SWEET SMELL OF CHRISTMAS, and shared the Advent story with the children.  Advent is the time of waiting before Christmas.  Each week a candle is lit symbolizing Hope, Love, Joy, Peace and then the lighting of the Christmas candle on Christmas day.  Using wooden pieces, Mother Anita lights the advent wreath with the children.

Snack was grapes, apples, and poppy seed muffins.  We went outdoors for recess.

We practiced in the Sanctuary today without our costumes today.  The children are having fun singing our Christmas songs.

After lunch we continued sewing our stockings and working on our top secret projects.

We ended the day outdoors in the sunshine.

Thank you to ALL who donated to our community giving tree!
