Today we learned a new poem about bells. We talked about different kinds of bells and the different types of sounds that they make. We all agreed that bells ringing at Christmas time are very joyful. We were hoping to ring the church tower bells today, but our bell ringer was unable to make it today. Very soon we will have another opportunity to hear the magnificence of the church tower bells that were recently restored.
Our morning workshop tables were collage Christmas tree making, snowy wonderland sensory bin, and Christmas tree counting.
Our snack was grapes and bagels.
After snack we had show and share. N was certainly a fun letter to celebrate. Our friends brought in some fun N items. Thank you all for participating.
We learned two new songs today that we will sing as part of our Christmas Pageant. We have all chosen our parts and we are ready to go to costuming and practicing our lines. This will be a big part of our day going forward. We are all very excited for another opportunity to be all together for a celebration.
In the afternoon we had some free choice while some caught up on retelling the Christmas story and drawing a picture to go with their retelling. Be sure to look at them in the Art center, they are delightful.
We ended our day out doors.
