It was a very soggy Friday morning. We were happy this weather held off for our picnic last night. Our fun Friday morning workshop tables were apple cinnamon play dough and castle building. We had a very relaxing rainy morning. At morning meeting we all shared our stories from the picnic last night. I heard a lot about cookies and cupcakes and running and dancing with friends! It was nice to hear that a good time was had by all.
Our snack was carrots, popcorn and apple cider. After snack we read the The Three Little Pigs Rock On and then had a delightful puppet show retelling the story.
Our work centers were apple stamping red, green, yellow and we worked on our letter M page in our special Handwriting Without Tears workbook.
After our fun pizza lunch with mixed vegetables and fruit snacks, we danced to our alphabet song. This song is a phonetic alphabet song which helps us to learn the sounds that letters make.
We had indoor recess where we enjoyed the simple pleasure of paper airplane making. A perfect rainy day activity. We ended our day taking a walk outdoors for some fresh air once the rain stopped.
