Besides our birthday fun, we also had some new morning workshop tables. We brush painted apple pictures, played with apple counting mats, connectors and felt stories.
At morning meeting we noticed that over night apples had grown on our owl tree! We listened to a silly apple poem and talked about our apple picking adventure planned for after school. We also talked about our special plan of making applesauce for the Emmanuel Church fair with all of the delicious apples.
We had outdoor recess. Hopefully the rain will hold off and all of our beautiful chalk art will stay in tact. There looked like there were some great chalk stories being told.
After lunch we continued working on our shape book and graph. We also have started a new weather graph! Some friends drew family pictures in their journals while others worked on interviews.
We ended our day outdoors.
