June 7, 2018, Thursday

We made a wonderful discovery today that reaffirms that God is good!  If you recall, way back in the fall, we shared the story of  PUMPKIN JACK.  We had our very own pumpkin Jack in the classroom.  We watched him rot away, and, just like the story, we all took him out to our special garden and planted him in the hopes that he would come back.  Well...he did!  He is a small plant now.  Not only that, but we learned perhaps a squirrel or a bird carried one of his seeds to the garden by the stone benches too!  How exciting!  We are hopeful that we will have 2 new pumpkins this coming fall!  You can see a picture below of the pumpkin plant.  We were all very excited to share this news with Miss Abby today when she came for our garden lesson.  We harvested salad fixings and enjoyed a green snack with her in celebration of our time together this year.  We got to wear our special shirts today for show practice.  We spent a good amount of time out in the sunshine.  Our snack today was apples and trail mix of pretzels and popcorn.  Just a reminder that tomorrow is our Father's Day Pizza Party at 12:30!
