MAY 25, 2018, Friday Casey Farm Field Trip

What a delightful day we had to return our chicks to Casey Farm.
Thank you all for supporting this enriching field trip!

We started with a picnic lunch!

There was plenty of room to run about!

 Name tags always help!

This beautiful butterfly provided loads of entertainment!

Miss Simone was one of the tour guides.
Miss Sarah lead the other group.

 We got to meet ducks.

We got to meet wild turkeys.

We saw a brooding pen.  This is where the hens lay their eggs.
We all got to touch a freshly laid egg to feel how warm it is!

We learned there are many varieties of chickens.

We got to feed the chickens!

 We got to wash eggs.

After washing, we sorted them by size.  We used a scale to weight them!
We got to pretend we were chickens.  This is how a chicken eats!

We got to hunt for food that chickens like to eat.
We even pretended to sleep like a chicken.

At the end, we got to release our baby chicks back into their home.  Bye, Bye chickies.

Some friends got to visit pigs.
