Today was bittersweet. We were amazed to find 4 butterflies in our net in the morning! We wondered if the one that remained in the cup and did not hang from the lid would emerge. Good news! It survived just fine! We decided that since today was such a lovely sunny day, and the weekend is predicted to be just as lovely, that it would be a good time to release the butterflies. It was very exciting to watch them fly away. We spent our morning making thank you cards for all our fun visitors this year, Miss Abby from the garden, Miss Kathy from the Library and Nikolas Pizza! We had Godly Play with Mother Anita and sang Happy Birthday to Mr. Steve! The children are getting very excited about our end of the year celebration. We are beginning to make our costumes. Miss Abby visited today and read THE MAGIC TREE. We explored the garden, sampled some of the greens and planned for making salad next week! Our snack today was mixed fruit and goldfish crackers.
