March 23, 2018, Friday

We began our day with a classic story, MAKE WAY FOR DUCKLINGS.  We set the mood with a mother ducky and 20 ducklings in our water table.  Our special art feature today was spin art.  Sadly our spinner did not last long, so we had to forego that project until Monday.  We worked on our texture art collage.  Some friends drew response drawings for our story.  Today's dress up special were wings...lots of wings, a little spring inspiration.  Our snack was Irish soda bread and cheese sticks.  We had some sunshine for outdoor recess.  It is worm hunting season.  We have had a bunch of worm sightings.  We ended the day with the story THE MITTEN by Jan Brett.  We enjoyed acting out the story so much, we did it twice.

Make way for the ducks.
Drawing our favorite piece of the story.

Adding special touches to our work from yesterday.
We managed a few spins before it broke.
This looks like a terrific story here.

Elsa was not too frozen, she could still draw with crayons.
I wonder who is on hold on the phone while she finished her work.
Gramma Baba was not too sure about knitting white mittens for Nikki.

The owl with the glinting talons.
The rabbit with the big kickers...
 Spin art end product.

Centrifugal Force is tough to explain!

 A new interesting puzzle.
