March 1, 2018, Thursday

We kicked off the first day of  March celebrating the color Green.  We read a story, GREEN, and learned there are many different shades of green.  Next we learned that we could make the color green with two different colors.  Mother Anita held Godly Play this morning.  We continued our study of the letter R.  Some friends made red rings.  Our snack was oranges, watermelon, and trail mix.  We spent a great amount of time outdoors.  It was very warm in the sunshine!

Painting at free choice time.
Oh what fun...shaving cream sensory!  We added a touch of gold at first for the leprechauns.
 Leap Frog Fun.

 R for Red Rings.

Painting a picture at free choice time.

Teeter Totter fun...the teachers call this the Titantic move.

We drew a barn for our horses.
We saw signs of spring in our school yard!  Pretty!

 Cooperation in the sand box.

Once we drew the barn, we decided the horses needed stalls...so we built those with blocks.
 What a delight.
This barn was a little further down the road.

First we all got a chair and made a big circle around the shaving cream.  Each friend got a turn to stir yellow and blue together to make green!  Amazing, making a new color!  We learned a song about hugging colors.
 Offering our own green ideas.

We love to watch it turn into a new color.  We named our color green Slimey Green.  That was not in our story book.
Thank you for all the great show and share items today!
