Today we had a very special visitor. Newport City Mayor, Mr. Winthrop, came to EDS and read a "Cat In The Hat" story to the children about voting. The children were given a chance to cast a ballot voting for their favorite Newport playground in our very own voting booth. Morton Park was the winner! Stay tuned for more photos of the children with the Mayor.

Putting the finishing touches on our Feast costumes.
Trains together.
The girls made a big creation with blocks today! Look how many blocks they used!
The Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Game. Great sportsmanship!
We finally were able to read our PUMPKIN JACK story. A delightful tale of a boy who is sad to see his pumpkin rotting away only to be delighted that his seeds grew a new pumpkin in the next fall season. A circle of life tale. You can witness this in our "watch it rot" tank as there is a new sprout growing right next to the rotting pumpkin. Amazing and reassuring!
We ended our day by making some butter the "Pilgrim" way for our feast on Tuesday. We started with heavy cream and each took a turn shaking the jar until we had butter! We played Taylor Swift's Shake It Off song while we went to work!
