3 March 2020, Tuesday

We love the first week of the new month, as things begin to change in our classroom.  This morning the giraffes moved out of our giraffe tent and it has been filled with colorful balls.  It is now a mini ball pit built for 2!  Our housekeeping area is a leprechaun house filled with gold!

Our morning workshop tables were trays of cooked spaghetti for painting and mixing color!  We provided the primary colors and let our friends go about mixing and watching the colors change.  Beading was open and Cezanne pastels continued.

At morning meeting we had our tweet and greet, our weather reporter determined it was a lamb day.  We are graphing our lion and lamb days at morning meeting rather than on our usual graph  board.  We introduced the letter E and danced to the color song.

Snack today was applesauce, brie cheese, and pretzel sticks.  The pretzel sticks lent themselves nicely to being made into the letter E!  After snack we told the story of The Great Kapok Tree with felt board pieces.  We worked in our HWT workbooks on our letter E page before heading outside for a nice long recess in the sunshine.  We celebrated this spring-like day with bubbles and new chalk!  The Easel came out for water color painting.  We painted the sky and the grass.  This will be a canvas for some paper flowers for our Art in Bloom board.

After lunch we enjoyed our first Tuesday Show and Share.  Thank you for sending in those wonderful letter E items!  We ended our day outside.
