What is fairy tale land without a castle? We need a castle for our brave knights and our royals! Today's morning workshop was all about coloring a castle that will be built very soon. We also had a table dedicated to studying the Letter D.
Today's chapel story with Abouna was Noah's Ark. After a short sharing time with Abouna about our holiday time, she began the story. She talked about God's plan to start anew, a fitting story for our new year. Many of the children were familiar with the story and were excited to share their ideas. One friend shared how God filled the earth with water just like in his bathtub... the water goes up and the water drains down.
Snack today was celery, grapes, and pretzel cracker mix. After snack, we suited up and went outside to play in what was left of the snow. We got very muddy!
We came inside for Show and Share before lunch. Thank you all for remembering the change in our show and share day. We had some fun and exciting D items today!
After lunch we continued work on our castle building and explored the math and science room. Our biome is a pond this month. Our math room has a new set of imaginex trains that the children have been enjoying building. We ended our day in the math room talking about our shape of the month, Hexagon. We added six knights to guard the hexagon shaped castle top on our bulletin board.
Thank you to those who joined us at the Parent Committee meeting toady, the minutes will be out soon.
