April 27th Casey Farm Visit

Today we had a spectacular visit from Miss Shelia of Casey Farm! She brought along 18 fertile eggs for us to begin incubating! We learned all about the chickens on Casey Farm, where they live, how to eat and even the different varieties of chickens. We are hatching Red and Black Rangers and Dominic's.

Miss Shelia even brought her very own hen to visit from Casey Farm, we learned about the parts of the hen, how chicks develop and even got to pet the hen.

We also got to look at the egg museum she set up. It was a display of all sorts of bird eggs large and small. Who knew there was such a variety.

Thank you Miss Shelia for a fantastic visit! We are so excited to hatch our little chicks in 21 days!

The eggs are incubating behind a large orange fence in the green dramatic play room. Please stay behind the fence and be very quiet... developing is hard work!
