TOMORROW is our Field Trip to Pick Apples at Rocky Brook Orchard on Wapping Rd.Arrival is 9am.
Each child will get their own picking bag, parents can purchase their own upon arrival. Mr. Andy will tell us about the orchard and which trees we can pick from. Then we will hike up the hill to pick! After we pick, we can meet in the gazebo to learn more about apples from Mr. Andy then listen to a special story!
After the visit, some parents are getting together for playtime and a picnic at Howland Park! EDS will be closed, enjoy the rest of your day cooking up some apples and picnicking with friends.
Today we continued to study everything apples! The children explored centers, had chapel with Miss Jordan, had snack (carrots, blueberries, celery, tomatoes and dip), had morning meeting and learned about Johnny Appleseed, pretended to be him, had outdoor play, observed a large spider eating a moth, had lunch, conducted an apple taste test, graphed the results and made apple prints.
