We had a FANTASTIC behind the scenes tour of the Newport Public Library today!! Many thanks to Miss Cathy for teaching us about all of the amazing resources available at the library from books to DVDs, museum passes and playaway audio stories! It was so much fun to see all the different parts of the library, it was especially exciting to see how a book becomes a library book! Some students even got their very own library cards! Thank you again to Miss Cathy and all of the staff at Newport Public Library for their hospitality!
The students had a lovely walk to the library, we had a picnic lunch in the park and had fun playing on the park equipment.
WE HAD 8 NEW CHICKS HATCH TODAY!!! Total we have 12 chicks! More to come!
EDS Graduates are going on the Marine Field Trip TOMORROW! Please wear multiple layers with a windbreaker or rain jacket on top. We will be walking outside, touring inside and then out on the water so temperatures will change! You do not need to wear your uniform. Please remember sunscreen and a water bottle. We are walking from EDS at 10am. We are having pizza provided by the Fifth Element at the Newport Shipyard at 12:15 then return to EDS by 1:30 at the latest.
WEATHER ALERT, with this changing weather please remember our dress code! Please put bloomers or shorts under dresses and skirts for modesty during gross motor play. Don't forget to wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle everyday.
Please send in a plain white t-shirt to decorate for graduation.
