June 10, 2019, Monday

Our last Monday together!  Some of us spent the morning finishing up our Father's Day cards and drawing while others played in the classroom.  We used the felt board to tell the story of THE THREE LITTLE FISH AND THE BIG BAD SHARK  and sang 5 Little Fishies Swimming in the Sea.  We have slowly started packing up our classroom, the children are beginning to get the sense that our graduation day is near and summer is right around the corner!

Mother Anita held Godly Play this morning.  She talked about Pentecost and read the stories ONE SPRING DAY and WHEN THE SUN ROSE.

We hope you have all enjoyed going through your child's portfolio books and year books.  We have had a delightful year together that has zoomed by so very quickly!  It is always a bittersweet farewell.  Along with the portfolios, the Green Handwriting Without Tears workbooks have been sent home and their drawing journals.  They are not intended to be summer homework.  They are for your  use in whatever you both may want to do with them.  There are no worries if pages have gone undone, perhaps your child was on vacation or out of school that day.  Drawing journals are available during free choice and many times children have chosen to play rather than draw which is normal.

We practiced today and then headed out into the sunshine to water our flower gardens.  They desperately needed a drink!  If your child's shirt was bit damp at pick up it was because that crazy garden hose would go berzerk every once and while and the children would run under the water stream!  One of the many giggles in our day!
