We began out day in a very different and exciting way.  It was such a lovely warm morning that the teachers had the play yard all set up for play when the children arrived to school.  We began our day outside.  The teachers were not only celebrating the good fortune of nice weather, but we knew that one of our friends was scheduled to arrive to school in a Fire Truck!  We surely did not want to miss that event. We all cheered when the truck pulled up to our school.

We also celebrated a friend's 5th birthday today.  We made a giant birthday card for her and celebrated with cupcakes after lunch outside under the shady tree.  I think we will have to rename it the cupcake tree as this seems to be our spot lately for birthday celebrations.

Hold on to your hats, there's more...we had a special visitor today.  Miss Hera and Miss Madeline came for a visit and transformed our garden, with the help of the children, into a magical garden bursting with blooms.  We even have strawberries! 

In between all of this merriment, we squeezed in a graduation practice and some work on our show props!  Thank goodness it is a three day weekend, we all need some rest!
