March 21, 2019, Thursday

"Life is ART live yours in Color," that is our motto this week.  Our color laboratory is open in the science room and ready for deep thinking and exploration.  We started our morning with free play before Godly Play with Mother Anita.  She told the story of the faces of Jesus and read the story QUICK AS A CRICKET.

Our snack was blueberry mini muffins, yogurt, and bananas.  After snack we went outdoors for fresh air and play.

We read the story MOVING DAY as two of our friends are preparing to move.  We talked about how exciting new homes are to move into and what we need to do to get ready for a move.  Our question of the day was, "Do you like fish?"  We learned that most of our friends do like fish.

Our centers involved finishing up some of our art pieces.  We painted a rainbow reflection on paper.  We made the prism cast by shining a flashlight on a CD immersed in water.  That is a process piece that is more about the experience than what it looks like when it is finished.

After lunch we gather for the story, COLOR WIZARD, and then played a wizard's game of guess the missing color.  We hid color pieces under a blanket of stars, waved a wizard's wand, and removed a color.  We tested our memory by guessing which color was missing.  We made it increasingly more difficult by removing more colors...Color magic.
