What a beautiful day to return to school! We had a great sharing circle at morning meeting to tell our stories from vacation. The children had no problem settling right back into our school routine. Miss Brianna joined us today! We are so happy to have her back at EDS! We had fresh strawberries and graham crackers for snack. We went right outdoors after snack to enjoy the sunshine. We have not had enough good weather this spring, so we decided to move the classroom outdoors today! We tested our kites out. We learned that you need a lot of wind to fly a kite! If you did not already do so, you may take home the art work piles on the brown benches. We also measured how much our garden plants grew over the break. We read stories and had some fun parachute play too. This will be an exciting week as we await the arrival of our chicken eggs from Casey Farm. They will be here for a special presentation that all are welcome to attend regardless if it is your regular school day. They will arrive promptly at 9:30 on Thursday, April 26, for the presentation. This was previously advertised for 10:30, so please note the time change. They bring a live chicken for the children to meet! A delightful time not to be missed for sure!
