Today we talked some more about the elements of art. The children all got to draw their own line on the white board at morning meeting. We saw that there are different types of lines, some drew straight, some zig zag, some wavy, some swirly. Our question of the day was, "What shape are the kites that we are making?" It was fun Friday, so of course we had to have some fun. We had a hunt for the pot of gold. Each friend had a turn to be a Leprechaun and hide the pot of gold and each got to be a detective and find the pot of gold! There was a wee bit of a treat at the bottom of the pot for a reward. We had outdoor recess. Our snack was yogurt and granola bars. We had fresh veggies as a side with our pizza today. Don't forget to sign up on Potluck for our upcoming Chili cook-off and Mac down. The link was posted here on March 5 if you need to go back to find it. Keep those Lucky Shamrocks coming in. Some have missed them. They are attached to your March newsletter. Thank you!

The race is on.
Our story book today was about the many different types of art.
This is a wonderful giant tale. An old favorite from a Scholastic Flyer. Children know a good story when they hear one. Who doesn't like a story about a giant? A good giant outwits a mean giant. A great story about using your brains and not your body when you feel threatened. Only 8 pages, but packed with talking points.
