We enjoyed a fun Friday first day of fall! The children had a morning of dress-up and play. Centers included drawing, pipe cleaner fun...one friend likened it to creating an alien, and puzzles. Our story was COMMOTION IN THE OCEAN. Snack was goldfish and raisins. The children went out doors for a bit. It was damp and brisk, so we returned indoors rather quickly. The finishing touches are being put on our class book. We proved we could count to 3 by creating a lovely sandy beach with 3 shells on it. We sorted big, med, and small shells too. We ended our week with a game of catch in the library. Fun Friday indeed!

September 21 - 22
A blustery last day of summer! Thursday morning centers included beading, shell sorting, and water color painting. We sang Mat Man, read THE SNAIL AND THE WHALE. Some painted a whale with a flip flop hand print tail. Snack was granola balls and goldfish, grapes. The children wrote in their journals, practiced their signatures and talked about what made them feel brave after reading THE BRAVE LITTLE FISH. We danced to the Goldfish song which you can find under the music section right here on the blog home site under MUSIC.
