SPECIAL GUEST

Today we have a special guest on our blog.  I am happy to introduce Miss Bridget Gallagher from the Newport Preservation Society who will be presenting a gardening segment each week here on our blog.  Please follow the link below.  If you have trouble connecting, please email me, and I will email you the link.  Miss Bridget also provided two activities with her presentation.  Enjoy!

We will work on a page of the seedling book each day this week.

LETTER of the WEEK :  Yy

To write the capital letter Y, start at the top and make a short diagonal line down and a short diagonal line up.  Leap back to the point where the short lines come together and make a short straight line down.

Make a Y on a piece of paper with 3 pieces of YARN.

MUSIC or MOTOR:

The Chicken Family Song:

Down in the barnyard early in the morning
See the chicken family all in a row
See the Daddy Chicken
He is called a Rooster
Cock-a-doodle Do and off he goes!

Down in the barnyard early in the morning
See the chicken family all in a row
See the Mommy Chicken
She is called a Hen
Cluck, Cluck, Cluck and off she goes!

Down in the barnyard early in the morning
See the chicken family all in a row
See the Baby Chickens, they are called Chicks
Peep, Peep, Peep and off they go!

Out pops a wing
Out pops a leg
How does the chick know how to get out
When it has never been out and about!
