It is sad to say... this is our last full school week at EDS :( Where has this year gone!
With so few days left, here is a list of...
Upcoming events:
Library Cards- If you would like to receive your very own library card when we visit the Library on May 30th, please complete and return the form in your folder. All applications are due by May 23rd so I can get them back in time for Miss Cathy to process before our visit.
Thursday May 25th we are visit Casey Farm from 12:30-3pm
EDS will be closed that morning prior to our visit.
The cost of the outing is $9.
Timeline:
12:30-1pm Meet at the farm for lunch, please bring only reusable items and plan to take your trash.
1:00-3:00 Presentation about Casey Farm and our chicks new home.
What to wear/bring:
Please wear your EDS t-shirt, pants, good walking sneakers a hat and sunscreen. Weather alert- please dress for the weather we are going rain or shine! If it is heavy rain, we will skip the picnic but still participate in the presentation which will be in the barn at 1pm.
Monday, May 29th EDS Closed for Memorial Day
Tuesday, May 30th Walking Field Trip to Newport Public Library
Parents are not required to come.

10:30-11:30 Meet with
Miss Cathy, behind the scenes tour of NPL. 11:30-12 Picnic lunch in the park next to the library
12-1:15 Playtime in Park, students will play in the park, teachers and parents will supervise and facilitate games.
1:15 Walk back to EDS
2:00 Normal EDS Dismissal

to Wear/Bring:

Wednesday, May 31st Graduate Field Day

With the warmer weather (here to stay!) please feel free to wear your EDS t-shirt any day, we consider this part of the uniform! Also don't forget to put on sunscreen before school, send in a hat and water bottle.
Today the children observed our little chicks (we have 13!), played games, wrote about goals for next year, wrote in workbooks, had snack (yogurt, graham crackers and popcorn) had outside play, had lunch, had afternoon meeting where we discussed the chicks and upcoming field trip and practiced for graduation!
