Due to the impending inclement weather and wind advisory tonight
the EDS Pumpkin Parade to TOMORROW, FRIDAY, the 28th from 5:30-7.
Everything will still go as planned! Jack-o-lanterns will be lit through
the school yard, wear your costumes, snack on cider and popcorn and
check out our Silent Auction! At 6pm, we will gather together to sing
festive songs and take a group photo! This is just a pop in event, no
need to plan to stay the whole time.
I know this throws a wrench into some plans and our volunteer assignments, my apologies, thank you for your flexibility.
If you can make it great, if not NO worries, we will manage! It is a
super easy event, the teachers will be here to help get everything
together. As you leave the event please take your jack-o-lantern home to
enjoy over the weekend!
Please bring in your jack-o-lantern with a tea light by Friday morning!
FAREWELL Moccasin hallway! Your child now has their very own cubby. The moc's will now live in your own cubby. When it starts to get colder, you can also leave cold weather gear in there!
Today we explored centers, made peek-a-boo pumpkins and squash, told Halloween and pumpkin
stories, had morning meeting, sang songs, popped and at popcorn with the air popper for the letter P, then we played
outside, had lunch, carved another pumpkin and retold Room on the Broom with story props.
EXTENDED DAY Update! Extended Day is a huge hit! Thanks to our fabulous teachers! The children love the extra time working on enriching projects, we are considering adding Monday's, please let me know if you are interested in joining ED!
I truly appreciate your flexibility and collaboration with the Pumpkins
on Parade event, it is your cooperation and participation that makes
these events so magical! Don't forget to invite your friends and
families!
:) Miss Carissa
