Today we explored centers, observed the ducks, created props for graduation, wrote in journals, had outdoor play, worked on graduation costumes Miss Kate was sewing away! Practiced for graduation, listened to a duck and a butterfly story and created caterpillars.

Monday, May 23rd Field Trip to 3rd Beach NBS Center EDS is CLOSED
Norman
Bird Sanctuary Third Beach Center is located across from Peabody Beach
Monday,
May 23rd at 10:10am. Please CARPOOL parking is
very limited!
Timeline:
Arrival 10:10 Third Beach
Center, please sign in your family with a teacher
Sea Safari 10:30-11:30
Students, accompanied by parents will learn about the ecosystem in Tide Pools
in “Crab City” at the end of Third Beach
11:30- 12:30 Weather
Permitting, students and families will have a picnic lunch on Third Beach on
the seasonal pass side. Parents will be asked to move their cars at this time
from the NBS lot to the Third Beach Season Pass Gate (we had no issue with
getting in last year).
12:30 Families can enjoy
a beach day together! Please sign out with a teacher.
*If the weather is too
chilly for the beach, but is fine to stay outside, we will move our trip up to
Howland Park on Wapping Road, there we can enjoy the playground and picnic
under the pavilion. I will send out an email the morning of.
What
to bring/wear
Wear your school shirt
with shorts that can get wet or a bathing suit, water/beach shoes, hat,
sunscreen, bug spray.
Please pack a water,
lunch, picnic blanket and any items you need for a fun beach day including
bathing suit, toys, towels etc.
The
fee for this trip is $9.00 per student. $5.00 per parent.
Children that do not
normally attend EDS on Monday’s are WELCOME to join us! Parents are responsible
for their child’s supervision and must accompany us for the entire outing.

Saturday, June 4th EDS Clothing Drive Fundrasier 10-1pm
Wedneday, June 8th 1:30pm ALL STUDENT GRADUATION DRESS REHERSAL
Wednesday, June 8th End of the Year Picnic
Please
bring your picnic blanket and a potluck side dish (see online sign ups
on perfect potluck) The Toe Jam Puppet Band will kick off at 5pm so
please arrive at 4:45 to get a good spot! They will play until 5:45 at
that time we will open the food tables and have our picnic!
Graduation, Thursday June 9th 10am,
Reception to follow. RSVP will be on the desk soon so we can get a head count, Mr. Steve will video.
Please
remember to send in your white t shirt, a family photo, order your
yearbook and send in all donations for the clothing drive by May 27th!
