FIELD TRIP ALERT!

 Dear Families, 

After discussion during our Parent Input Meeting this morning,  I wanted to address the many field trips we have scheduled this month.

I definitely understand that we have a lot of field trips scheduled for May and I know it is putting a lot of stress on many families who are feeling they cannot commit to attend so many events.

Normally and going forward at EDS we will only have one field trip per month. This month happened to become overloaded due to the unfortunate weather we experienced in March and April which caused some trips to be moved to May.

In order to alleviate this burden on families we have two solutions:

1. If you want your child to attend the field trips but cannot provide transportation we have a riding sharing system available. Information about ride sharing is available on the front desk.

2. If it is a normal school day for your child, but you DO NOT want them to attend the field trip, you can complete a FIELD TRIP OPT-OUT form with Miss Carissa. By Opting-out of the field trip, your child will come to school for a normal school day. One EDS teacher and one substitute will run a normal school day at EDS.
